LATIVERB 2.0 for Windows is an interactive drill program for Latin verbs. You choose which forms you want to practise from a given verb (chosen either by the user or by the program). The program then gives you a series of forms to be defined in terms of person, tense, mood and voice.

Familia Caecilia is a beginners' system for Latin. It consists of eight lessons based on Roman everyday life. Family life, houses, dinners, baths, love, military life and work all feature. Each lesson is accompanied by background information for the subject of the lesson, glossary, grammar, a notebook and different exercises. The program also contains a central grammar section, a section on background material and a picture gallery. A website with links accompanies the CD-ROM.

As the name says, this program is in reality a triple program. The main program is the Grammaticus part that is meant as a tool for the teacher. The program can create a glossary for any given electronic text in Latin and furthermore has different specialised functions, allowing for instance the possibility of creating a morphological concordance for the forms used in the text. The Memoria part is a word and morphology drill aimed at the students and the Intellilex part is an "intelligent dictionary" allowing students to search for the meaning of a word through any given form.

GtPlus is a dictionary and word training program for many different languages. The word training section is brilliant: the training is adapted to the individual needs of the user.

Markin is a program that gives the teacher the tools to mark and annotate the written exercises of their students. When marking is complete, the teacher can export the marked text as an RTF file or as a web page so that students can view the marked text.

The basic idea in Quia is that you can both create your own exercises and share those created by others. It can be used for free for 30 days while you test its functions.

Visual Mind, by Ahring.

Visual Mind is a program for making mind maps. It is very easy to handle and easy to export the maps made, to for instance a Word document. The program can be downloaded directly from the website. Use is free for the first 30 days.
