My
name is Jens Vermeersch. I am responsible for the
internationalisation department of Het GO! This is the umbrella
organisation of the official education in the Dutch speaking part of
Belgium (i.e. Flanders and Brussels). I work together with Veerle De
Troyer and Katrien Lehouck. We support our schools who want to start with an International project and we co-ordinate

Het GO! Onderwijs van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap (Flemish Community Education) is a Flemish public institution acting as organising power for the education of the Flemish Community of Belgium.
Het GO! Onderwijs van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap guarantees the freedom of choice for parents and children for open and high quality education in Flanders and Brussels. It aims at the global development of a person and it wants to raise children and youngsters to become free, mature people able to function in a modern society. Het GO! puts learning gains first and opts for democratic participation.
It consists of 773 establishments spread over 28 school groups with more then 27 000 staff and 166 000 pupils in compulsory education.
