Judith Dorren is a teacher of classics, that is of Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation, at the Mollerlyceum in Bergen of Zoom, a town in the Southwest of the Netherlands. The schoolbuilding in which she works is a beautiful building from the 1930's in the style of the "Nieuwe Zakelijkheid". She is currently the only teacher in these subjects at her school because, like everywhere else in Europe, the classics are losing ground. She hopes working together with her collegues from all over Europe in this Circe-project will be foreshadowing a new rise in popularity of the cultures that shaped the beginnings of Europe and many of its institutions that survived till this day.
