Sarah Bourne is a Classics teacher from the UK. She teaches Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation A levels at Tudor Hall School
(just outside Banbury in Oxfordshire) which has a thriving and highly
successful Classics Department. Recent activities have included a trip
to Rome and Pompeii, and the inauguration of an annual Roman dinner
party for Sixth Form Classicists. Her particular interests include
Latin poetry in the 1st century BC and the development of Greek Vase
Painting. Pupils at Tudor Hall School study Latin or Classical Civilisation from the age of 11, and may choose to start Greek in the Sixth Form on an intensive AS level course. Sarah has taught at Tudor Hall since leaving New Hall, Cambridge where she read Classics,followed by a PGCE. She is also the Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator at her school. |
