This is a view from the top of the cavea of the theatre of Herodes Atticus in Athens Salvete! Currently learning how to do all things whizz in the world of computing at CIRCE 2008 in Rome, I hope to put them into practice to become thoroughly webwise. All of this is largely because I am a secondary school teacher of Classics from Edinburgh in Scotland. I have been teaching at since May 2008 George Watson's College since May 2008.

Edinburgh has a strong tradition in Classics and is often known as the "Athens of the North" due to its architecture, academia and the features of its natural landscape. Compare some of the paired features below:

The Athenian acropolis and Edinburgh Castle.
Athenian architecture and Edinburgh's architecture.
Peireias and Leith harbours.
Socrates and Hume.
