Laura Rietveld

My name is Laura Rietveld. I teach Latin, Greek and Classical Culture at the Maartenscollege, a secondary school in Haren (Groningen - The Netherlands). In our school we teach all levels of students, from 12 to 18 years. We also have a bilingual department (TTO) and an International School. I have studied Greek and Latin as well as Italian at the University of Amsterdam. Afterwards I have written a PhD thesis on the myth of Orpheus in Italy: Il trionfo di Orfeo. La fortuna di Orfeo in Italia da Dante a Monteverdi, Universiteit van Amsterdam, 2007.

I also organize the Jeugddag of the Nederlands Klassiek Verbond, a day in which final year students can get more information about the subject of their final exams.
