Getting to know the Olympic Gods with EMAZE

Kathleen Bossuyt-Janssens0 Comments

The goal of this lesson is that all students will have acquired knowledge of the Roman and Greek Gods after the two hour lesson. The students will first look themselves for information on the internet using the instruction bundle. Then you will give a cultural lesson on about the Olympic gods using the free software EMAZE. After that, the student will get their corrected exercise back with the associated grading key.

Step 1

First year students will first look for information on the internet about the 12 most important gods from the Roman and Greek world using focused questions.

Step 2

The first question in the bundle (see Annex???) focusses on their names and attributes. This way they will become acquainted with the gods. The students will also have to look for the Greek counterpart.

Step 3

With the second question you will give the students images of the 12 Olympic gods and they will have to assign the correct names to them.

Step 4

Ask the students, at question 3, to include the elements from question 1 and 2 in a creative assignment.
