OverviewStudents will gather information about the Panathenaia/the Parthenon via http://www.parthenonfrieze.gr. Then they will test the knowledge they acquired in a playful way by connecting of specific aspects of this festival with images on ceramics. In this way, students will learn that ceramics provide a lot of information about daily life.
- Students search via http://www.parthenonfrieze.gr and “learn about the frieze” for information about the Parthenon/the Panathenaia/the moment of handing over the peplos.
- The Panathenaia were also depicted on ceramics: students can see this via http://www.parthenonfrieze.gr and then “play with the frieze” – contests that remained… on pottery”, where they have to connect the important aspects of this festival with the vase.
